Soak off cap

99,00 kr

For removal of gel polish, soak off gel and acrylic.

File off any gel top coat. Place acetone on the white square and wrap around your finger.

The package contains five caps in soft, eco-friendly silicone. The inside of the cap has small knobs that hold the moistened cloth in place. They also help to rub the surface of the artificial nail so that it dissolves faster.

Use these caps instead of aluminum foil when removing artificial nails that can be dissolved with skin-friendly acetone. This saves the environment, time and, in the long run, money.

Moisten a cotton pad, lint-free cloth or a Lint Free Wipe with Soak Off Gel Remover (or other skin-friendly acetone), place this inside the cap and thread it over the artificial nail to be removed. They stay in place and retain moisture to optimize the process of dissolving the artificial nail. The caps can be used over and over again.

The caps can also be used to remove other acetone-soluble artificial nails in addition to gel polish, such as acrylic, poly gel and soak-off gel. Then you remove the artificial nail by dissolving it layer by layer in several rounds.

Our best tip for easy removal:

  • File down the surface of the artificial nail with a coarse file. A shiny and smooth surface leaves little opening for the acetone to do its job. A well-filed surface ensures that the dissolution process goes as quickly as possible.
  • Use a piece of lint-free cloth.
  • Moisten the cloth generously (it should be soaking wet) with Konad Professional Soak Off Gel Remover or other skin-friendly acetone.
  • Place the moistened cloth inside the cap (on the side where the knobs are).
  • Insert your finger so that the artificial nail is covered by the damp cloth.
  • Wait 15 minutes. Press down on the cap and turn it so that you rub the surface of the artificial nail underneath to speed up the process. Remove the cap while pressing the cloth against the nail surface. Work on one nail at a time, leaving the cap on the other nails until you are ready to work on them.
  • Use the cuticle pusher or an orange wood stick to gently scrape off any loose artificial nail without scraping into the nail.
  • Repeat the process if you can't get all layers of artificial nail off right away. It is better to spend some time on the dissolving process rather than moving too quickly, as this will avoid damaging the natural nail underneath.
  • Put in a new lint-free damp cloth and put the cap back on the nail and let the acetone continue to work on the layers underneath. The thicker the artificial nail, the more times you use acetone.
  • Use a soft buffer to remove any residue.
  • Wash your hands in good soapy water.
  • You are now ready to apply a new artificial nail. If you don't want to apply a new artificial nail right away, treat the cuticles and natural nail with cuticle oil.
